Undergrad awards night is tonight. Students are asked to check the list of names (posted outside the office, by the front doors to Portage Ave) to confirm if they should be attending.
Friday is Orange Shirt Day... a day to remember that we all need to keep the discussion on all aspects of residential schools happening in our school and community. Students and Staff -- Please wear an orange shirt or a "burst" of orange on a piece of your clothing to help acknowledge this event! If anyone is interested in participating in a traditional Smudging Ceremony tomorrow as part of Orange Shirt Day... please see Ms. Kopetsky (Room 208) for a permission form before the end of the day. Forms must be completed and returned as per School Board policy - before one can participate. Smudging will take place in Room 208 at 8:15 a.m. and again at 12:15 p.m.
Attention all students - part of the World Bread-FAST program.... there will be a very brief meeting on Monday, Oct. 3rd at lunch in Ms. Kopetsky's room. All members are asked to attend - we need to get organized for Wednesday!!
Namaste (Na - ma - stay)... is Hello in Hindi! Starting on Wednesday, October 5th... Every Wednesday there will be bread from around the world served to students in the Student Lounge - as in the area by the front entrance of the School. A little and free snack to start your day! Wednesday, it will be Naan Bread which is a traditional bread from India! Hope to see you there!
