There will be an important meeting today at 12:15 in Room 105 for all students interested in the Brooklands Literacy Breakfast event. You do not have to be a former Brooklands student to attend.  This volunteer opportunity is open to all students. 

Badminton Try-outs are today at 5:30 in the high school gym.
        
Attention SJCI – Put your estimation skills to work!  Again today, stop by outside the Cafeteria and enter to win a gift card by guessing how many jelly beans are in the jar!  Ballots will be 50 cents. 

There will be a mandatory meeting for ALL Human Rights and Holocaust Europe Trip participants today at 12:05 pm in Mr. Halbert's room.

Reminder - Cap and Gown fees of $30 are being collected for Grad. If you do not pay these fees, you do not get to cross the stage and receive your diploma in June. Please see Mr. Sculthorp in Room 102 as soon as possible to pay.

The Winnipeg International Children’s Festival is looking for volunteers for events in late March and early June at the The Forks.  If you’re interested, go to www.kidsfest.ca or see Mr. Sculthorp for details.

From 11:00am - 2:00pm on Sunday, March 13th, there is an opportunity for 12 St. James Collegiate students to volunteer at Siloam Mission.  Please see Mr. Halbert ASAP if you'd like to participate.

Attention students- Are you looking for work?  A part-time, full time, or summer position at RONA may be just what you are looking for!  RONA is having a job fair on Sunday, March 13th; 10AM to 4PM at 3 locations in Winnipeg: Panet Road, Kenaston Blvd and Sargent Avenue.  RONA offers flexible hours, training, scholarships and product discounts to employees.  Please pick up an information sheet at the office if you are interested in attending.

Grad photos are being taken again on March 17 & 18. You must make an appointment. Sign up sheets are now posted outside room 105. This is your last chance to get your photos done. See Ms. Tuchscherer if you have any questions.
Attention Grade 12 Students!   Did you know that you can train to become a health care aide; health unit clerk; educational assistant; or veterinary office assistant in our very own School Division?  Well that's absolutely right!  Get information about these careers and ask about these certificate programs at the St. James Signboard School Division's Continuing Education Open House.  This event will be held on Thursday, March 17th, 6:30 to 8:00 PM at John Taylor Collegiate.

Attention all Filipino students... there is an exciting Youth Forum on Building Success event happening on March 17th in the evening.  Please see Ms. Kopetsky for more details and to pick up information.

The 30 Hour Famine is happening on April 22nd.  There will be an organizational meeting on Monday, March 7th in Room 208 at 12:05 p.m.  All students interest in participating in this year's famine are asked to attend! 

Registration forms for the Manitoba Ball Hockey League starting in April are in the office now.
