There will be NO late start Tuesdays for the month of January.

A reminder to join Ms Cooke in the Library for Maker Monday at lunch.  See Ms Cooke for details.

The St. James Varsity Boys are playing the Winnipeg Invitational Tournament next week at Tec Voc. This is one of the most prestigous tournaments in Winnipeg. Tournament passes are normally $7, but if you buy a pass from Mr. Kangas this week or early next week it will be only $5. The Varsity Boys play Sisler next Wed at 6:30. Hope to see you all there.

Tier 1 JV Boys practice tonight is at 3:30.  Game Tuesday is at Churchill at 6:15 and practice is Wednesday at 3:30.

Tier 2 JV Boys practice today is at 5:30 in GWMS and Tuesday at 3:30 in the high school gym.

Attention all Aboriginal Students... Pamela will be here on Tuesday at 2:00 for a group meeting.  Please go to your Period 5 class and then you will be called to Room 208 for a half hour meeting.  Looking forward to seeing you all...see Ms. Kopetsky if you require additional details.

If you are considering post-secondary, you do not want to miss this information session at Red River.  Learn about full time programs, the admissions process and the various support services that are available.  There is something for everyone at Red River College.  The session will be held on Wednesday, January 13/16 from 6-7 pm in the Green Lecture Theatre (GM43) Notre Dame Campus.  This is the same presentation that is delivered to high schools and adult learning centres but this is an opportunity for students who have missed these opportunities to attend.  Parents and family members are welcome and encouraged to attend.

You might have already noticed a dog in the hallways or classrooms. Jem is a service dog from Dog Guides Canada and belongs to Mrs. Neil, the teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
Jem will come to school every day with Mrs. Neil.  She can alert Mrs. Neil to many sounds such as, someone knocking on the door, someone calling her name and the fire alarm.

Since Jem is a service dog, you should remember that she has a job to do and she should not be distracted from her work.  Please do not pet her or call to her.

If you have any questions about Jem, please stop by room 110 across from the store and Mrs. Neil will answer them!
